Sunday, November 3rd, 5-8pm
Join friends and neighbors for the annual Shipe Park Basketball and Movie Night! There will be music, basketball games, food trucks, and our annual outdoor movie. Don’t forget: Nov. 3rd is the day after Daylight Saving Time ends, so the movie starts at sunset.
The event is sponsored by Astound Broadband! Thanks to Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery for providing some delicious cookies and treats! Friends of Shipe Park will have Shipe Park T-Shirts available as a thank you for donations to Friends of Shipe Park.
Here’s the event schedule:
3:30pm: Registration for Basketball Games and Contests
4:00-5:30pm: Basketball Games and Contests (all ages)
Arrival and Picnic Dinner – BYO or enjoy a meal from:
- Garbo’s Lobster truck
- Connor’s Creamery – soft serve ice cream
6-8pm: Movie in the Park: Back to the Future
8pm: Clean Up and Head Home
Your To Do list:
- Bring blankets and/or folding chairs
- Bring your own picnic or purchase food from Garbo’s Lobster and Connor’s Creamery
- Clean up! (You bring it in, you take it home)
- Have fun with friends, neighbors, and family!

This event sounds awesome! One quick note that I wanted to mention: in the future, could you please advertise something along the lines of “t-shirts available for donation” instead of “for sale”? As a group operating under APF’s nonprofit umbrella, sales are not allowed. However, we can give out merchandise as a thank you for someone making a donation. Hope this makes sense, but please let me know if you have any questions!
