Don’t Miss the Shipe Park Movie Night & Basketball Skills Contest!

Come join a multi-year tradition and help celebrate cooler temperatures with your neighbors at Shipe Park for a movie night and basketball contest! The big day is Sunday, November 2.

Basketball Skills Contest

All ages welcome to come show off their skills starting at 3:30 pm (registration starts at 3:00 pm) at the basketball court. There will be prizes and, of course, neighborhood bragging rights so come show us what you’ve got!

When: registration starts at the basketball court at 3:00 pm and the contest begins at 3:30 pm (Sunday, Nov 2)

Dia de Los Muertos Ofrenda

In observation of Dia de Los Muertos, we’re partnering with Ridgetop Elementary School to observe the tradition of celebrating the lives of loved ones by building a ofrenda, Feel free to stop by the log cabin to learn more about this tradition! You can even bring an object to place on the ofrenda (just remember to take it back with you before you leave).

When: 3:00-6:00 pm

Where: Shipe Park cabin (next to the pool)

Movie Night

We’ll round out the night with a projection screening of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (1988). Bring some lawn chairs and enjoy popcorn (popped onsite for free) and watch this Halloween classic!

When: screening begins at about 6:00 pm (ends ~8:00 pm)
