IT’S SHIPE PARK DAY 2013: SAT, MARCH 2ND, 11-3 PM

As part of Austin Parks Foundation’s It’s My Park Day, Hyde Park neighbors, friends, and volunteers from around the city will participate in the annual clean-up and landscaping day at Shipe Park located at 44th Street and Avenue F. Every year, hundreds of volunteers MyParkDay-GirlsPainting-Smallof all ages joined in the fun to improve our park.

On Saturday, March 2nd, we will gather at Shipe and work on needed efforts to improve and beautify the park. We will be aerating and weeding tree beds, spreading mulch, removing invasive plant species and debris, aerating and fertilizing the field, beautifying the interior pool areas, spiffing up the play-scape, and generally making Shipe Park a better place. This year, in addition to the work at Shipe Park, we will be working on various projects at the Elizabet Ney Museum next door.
